FIFA Soccer 11 to redefine player authenticity

EA has announced today that FIFA Soccer 11, launching this fall, will “redefine player authenticity.” It will do this through a new feature called Personality+, which sees individual abilities reflected in game, “enabling clear

differentiation for every player.”

“Personality+ is the evolution of individual distinctiveness that sees a player’s abilities on the pitch mirrored authentically in our game, creating individual personalities in FIFA Soccer 11,” said Executive Producer Kaz Makita. “We

have reached a level of sophistication within our game engine where players in our game will behave and perform as true individuals.”

Players are graded on 36 attributes and 57 traits. With a network of 1,700 scouts, editors and reviewers positioned around the world to evaluate the players, this feature will create a comprehensive database. Players will have a

much more unique and individual feel compared to previous entries in the series. Expect good ball handlers to do what they do so well, keepers to follow their particular style, and strikers to hone their abilities like their real life

counterparts.

Also new to FIFA Soccer 11 is the new Pro Passing feature. Pass accuracy Is now determined by a gamer’s ability on the control pad, and player skill, situation and urgency on the pitch. You’ll also get new types of passes like

swerve passes.

The game will be available in stores this fall on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PC, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS, PSP, and mobile devices.
